Tuesday evening we went to have dinner at Sushi Ichimoto. We ordered miso soups, the deluxe California roll, butter garlic spinach noodles and 2 lion king rolls. The food was really fresh and delicious. We decided to get an extra lion king roll bc wow. I didn't really care for the California roll but my son sure did. We decided to try something new, and got the noodles. They tasted like chow mein but crispier and were soooo good. Their service was really friendly, and they were pretty quick. We spent about 2 hours there which felt only like 45. It was a great experience and we'll definitely be back.

This is the original place of Ray Sushi , ever since Ray left , there is no longer any waiting in front . We found that the food is improving a lot and in reasonable price. Just keep in mind if you asking to reserve a table for big party, make sure you are not going to the VIP room, otherwise there is $250 minimum charge.
Amazingly fresh fish and great variety. After calling a dozen spots in the area, this was the only one who has Uni available. They go beyond your standard salmon, tuna, and rolls. And execute it very well. Pricing is fair. The combo nigiri platters and sashimi plates can run in the high twenties on up. They also had a ton of rolls and cooked Japanese options. This is an old school feeling restaurant in a little rough part of town (we had someone hassle us a bit when we left for our car after dinner) and they were very short staffed. 6 employees overall to serve a packed house on a Tuesday night. 2 servers to handle 14-16 full tables. But if it means waiting a little longer to have a great meal at a fair price point so be it. I did feel for the server though. She was running around trying to keep everyone happy and serve as hostess. That's a lot to ask of a single woman and I appreciated all the people who acted with grace about it. Great little find in Hayward.
I order to-go from this place through DoorDash at least once a month. Food is decent for the price. Fish is pretty fresh for to-go. I've gotten many types of roles, ichi don, eel fried rice, etc. Would recommend if you are looking for quick sushi!
